Hello, everyone! I'd like to let you all in on a special project I'm working on with a friend - a web comic! (Which is going along rather smoothly.) Here is just an overview of some things you can expect:
DOMINION.
THE WORLD;
Dominion takes place on Chevron- a small planet located within the Vesperum galaxy. A select team of Humans, known as the ORIGIN Squadron, have set up camp; a large metal fortress dubbed “The ORIGIN Facility”, (No not F.E.A.R lolol,) led by Commander Hyperion Roland.
ORIGIN researchers have been toying with the idea of sending something other than Humans out into the unfamiliar territory. Robots? Too simple. They needed something more complex; something with a real, working brain and unfaltering loyalty.
Thus the C.C.U, or Canine Conquer Unit, was born. Using snips of canine D.N.A, the scientists were able to tweak crucial parts of the genetic coding in embryo. The result was an invincible inner system with the skin of a Belgian Malinois, a popular Military dog.
The C.C.Us were played around with, and over time, became resistant to obsessive amounts of radiation. Roland, Commander of the Titan Unit and Overseer of the ORIGIN facility, drafted several of the C.C.Us into his own elite canine team – The Ghost. The Ghost were perfect for search and destroy missions; nearly impervious to damage, whether physical or environmental. They were sent out to hunt, observe, and bring back samples of Chevreum, a rich and rather expensive ore found in veins along the surface of Chevron.
For many months, the Ghost went through their cycles without disruption. Hyperion had founded the single, most powerful unit on the planet. However, there was something he had crucially overlooked.
He had plopped his team right in the middle of Broken territory.
THE BROKEN;
The Broken are a vast, monstrous canine race led by Queen Tinuviel. They are incredibly loyal to their own kind; however, to outsiders, they become bloodthirsty and ruthless. With their incredible strength and unmatched ferocity, they have established an enormous “empire” of sorts in the center of their home planet, called The Pit.
The Broken rule within an established Hierarchy, which is as follows;
Pups - These are the young Broken.
Mongrels - The lowest ranked Broken, who have little to no importance. Mongrels typically live outside of The Pit, taking up refuge in caves and crevices.
Yardbirds – The lowest rank WITHIN the Broken capital, Yardbirds have a bit more importance than Mongrels, in the fact that they may visit Arena tournaments and have some say in the government. They sleep either in established housing or just outside The Pit.
Drones – These are the “peacemakers” of Broken rule. They guard entrances, patrol the city, and guard the prisoners.
The Elite –The “head honchos” of Broken rule. They are Queen Tinuviel’s select team, lurking in the shadows. With a snap of her claws, The Elite will rush to her side in a state of emergency.
The Broken are polytheistic, meaning they believe in many Gods. Isolde, The Shadow Mother, and Andraste, The Horizon are the most famous.
